Work opportunities were taking off in the Tweed region so Brian and Bruce decided to relocate their families and start a new earth moving business which they called South East Excavations. They started off small and their initial workforce consisted of Brian, Bruce, Splinter, Graham Duffy and Brian and Bruce’s wives Noelene and Sue did the books.

They won their first job in 1988 which was Norths Lane in Nunderi and it was a small subdivision. It didn’t take long for Jenny and her husband Stephen to move to the Tweed in 1991 and they are both still working for the company. Brian and Bruce opened their first office in 1995 at Chinderah NSW and to this day still remains as head office.
