Kingscliff Foreshore Revitalisation – Construction Works

Description of Works –

The revitalisation of the Kingscliff foreshore will bring protection of the foreshore, creation of a central park with active and passive space and modernisation of a key tourism asset, the Kingscliff Beach Holiday Park.

The Kingscliff Foreshore Revitalisation Project works includes;

  • Rock armour and concrete seawall (including piling) foreshore protection works
  • Associated Construction and landscaping works for the creation of the new Kingscliff Central Park
  • Associated Construction and landscaping works for the upgrade of the Kingscliff Beach Holiday Park
  • Utility works – Stormwater, Water, Sewer and Electrical
  • Earthworks and pavements to complete Holiday Park and Central Park
  • Extensive Landscaping works for Central Park and Holiday Park

Special Features –

  • Demolition of existing Holiday Park and Infrastructure
  • Excavate 35,000m3 for revetment walls
  • Supply and place 47,000 tonnes of Rock Revetment Wall including temporary sheet piling and de-watering. Management of 2,600 truck movements for rock supply.
  • Install 270 CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) concrete piles for the concrete seawall
  • Form and pour 450m3 of marine environment reinforced concrete for sea wall
  • Minimizing impact on public and maximizing beach access
